Monkey Mia 5-Day Sea Kayak Expedition

Monkey Mia 5-Day Sea Kayak Expedition
From AUD $1,295.00
  • Duration: 5 Days (approx.)
  • Product code: MMTOUR
The best way to visit this remote, isolated World Heritage area is by kayak, offering a unique view of the scenery and wildlife.
The seas are calm and shallow and as well as the famous Monkey Mia dolphins, there are dugongs, turtles, fish and rays. At night we camp out on beaches under clear starry skies.

We use stable double expedition sea kayaks. No experience is required but you should have reasonable fitness and look forward to camping out.

Prices include all specialist gear, kayaks, food for the trip, 4WD trek to return at the end of the trip, as well as experienced and professional guides.

Day 1: Travelling to Monkey Mia –we meet and stay
at the resort this night.

(Trip does not include transport
from Perth to Monkey Mia or return but this can be arranged with us. Pick-up
and drop-off at Denham or the Monkey Mia airport can also be arranged)

Day 2: After equipment briefing, we load the
kayaks with everything we will need for the next few days and depart Monkey Mia
beach. There are no shops where we’re going! We paddle to Cape Rose and camp on
the beach for the night.

Day 3:
We leave Cape Rose, stopping along the way to see the view from above on the
spectacular red sand cliffs. At Guichenault Point we camp under the cliffs in a
secluded mangrove, right on the beach.

Day 4:
Today we cross the deep waters of Herald Bay and head for the tip of Cape
Peron. Here, where the waters of the bay meet the ocean, it’s a great spot for
fishing and seeing dolphins and bigger fish that come to feed.

Day 5: We pack our camp and meet the 4WD for
the trek down the Peron Peninsula stopping for an artesian spa at Peron
Homestead, arriving back in Monkey Mia mid afternoon.
